Preliminary results are expected Tuesday night, but won’t be certified for at least three weeks.

As of Friday, officials had received 36,569 ballots, slightly outpacing many recent vote-by-mail elections, including 2021, the last time the city held a regular mayoral contest.Municipal employees process ballots as they arrive, and begin tabulating returns after the polls close at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Partial results will be posted Tuesday evening. Results will update in the following days as ballots continue to arrive by mail.
