Flash floods have battered some areas of Greece
The travel company has suspended flights to Skiathos as it 'closely monitors' the weather situation. It comes after reports that Skiathos and Volos in Greece have been affected by flash floods due to high rates of consecutive waterfall.
Strong currents on Skiathos have been seen dragging away plants and vehicles, with excessive amounts of water rushing through the streets. Overall, six flights have been cancelled by TUI, affecting major airports including Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham, Newcastle, and London Gatwick.
TUI said: "Customers that were due to travel to Skiathos on the 5th or 6th of September are able to amend their holiday for free with a 10 per cent rebooking incentive or receive a full refund if they no longer wish to travel. We will be contacting these customers to discuss their options."For those due to travel from the 8th of September, we are actively monitoring the weather forecast and will be in direct contact with a travel update as soon as possible.
"If you wish to change your holiday, we are offering a fee free amend with a 10 per cent rebooking incentive. We would ask those customers who would like to discuss changes to their holiday to call 0203 451 2688."
