At the meeting, the security of the Türkiye-Iraq border line, and measures to increase the security of Iraqi citizens were discussed, according to the statement shared on Tuesday. In its more than 35-year terror campaign against Türkiye, the PKK – listed as a terrorist organisation by Türkiye, the US and the European Union – has been responsible for the deaths of over 40,000 people, including women, children and infants.PKK terrorists often hide out in northern Iraq to plot cross-border attacks in Türkiye.
