An investigation by ITV News uncovered 'dozens' of claims against the 48-year-old, with his conduct described as 'unacceptable' and 'distressing.' The accusations encompass the use of sexually charged and aggressive language on television sets.D'Acampo vehemently denies the 'deeply upsetting' allegations, asserting that they are 'simply not in my nature.
' One woman alleges that he made sexually suggestive comments towards her during a magazine photoshoot in 2011. Another claims to have witnessed him threaten a young colleague in 2019. Two additional women accuse D'Acampo of making sexual remarks while working on 'Gordon, Gino And Fred's Road Trip' in 2018.Executives at Objective Media Group, which co-produced 'Gordon, Gino And Fred's Road Trip' in 2018, were reportedly aware of these concerns. An email obtained by ITV, sent last year, detailed 'unacceptable and distressing' behavior exhibited by D'Acampo. Objective Media Group stated that it 'takes the welfare and wellbeing of all its production staff and teams incredibly seriously,' including 'behavioral clauses in talent contracts' and providing 'behavioral training for on-screen talent.' MultiStory Media, which produced 'Gino's Italian Express,' stated that it would be 'inappropriate to go into the detail of individual concerns' but confirmed it was 'reviewing the concerns which have been raised, what was known at the time and what action was taken.' It added: 'We will also look at any new concerns that have come to light.' Multistory Media revealed that it has not worked with D'Acampo for six years.Studio Ramsay, which produced 'Gino's Italian Family Adventure' and co-produced 'Gordon, Gino And Fred's Road Trip' in 2018, stated in a response to the claims that it 'takes all allegations of inappropriate behavior and workplace misconduct seriously, promptly investigate, and take appropriate remedial action when warranted.'In a statement to ITV News, D'Acampo's legal team categorically denied the allegations of inappropriate sexual behavior. They stated that D'Acampo had never been made aware of these matters previously and asserted that he 'would not do anything that I thought would upset or distress anyone. This is simply not in my nature.' His legal team further emphasized that D'Acampo had been repeatedly supported by executives at the highest level and commissioned for prime-time programs during the period in question.An ITV spokesperson emphasized that 'production companies have the primary responsibility for the duty of care of everyone they work with, both on and off screen, when making shows,' characterizing the behavior as 'inappropriate and unacceptable.' The spokesperson added: 'Most of them were not reported to ITV at the time.
