Netflix releases a new trailer for Twilight of the Gods, the upcoming animated series about Norse mythology co-created by Zack Snyder.
Co-created by Snyder, Jay Olivia, and Eric Carrasco, Twilight of the Gods is a new animated series about Norse mythology. The show will be streaming on Netflix later this month.The trailer introduces viewers to Leif and Sigrid, two warriors who fall in love and decide to get married despite knowing that their wedding will anger the gods.
“Zack Snyder presents Twilight of the Gods, an all-new daring and spectacular animated vision of Norse mythology,” the official synopsis for the series reads. “In a mythical world of great battles, great deeds, and great despair, Leif, a mortal King, is saved on the battlefield by Sigrid, an iron-willed warrior with whom he falls in love.
The series voice cast includes Sylvia Hoeks as Sigrid, Stuart Martin as Leif, Rahul Kohli as Egill, Paterson Joseph as Loki, Jamie Clayton as Seid-Kona, Pilou Asbæk as Thor, Birgitte Hjort Sørensen as Hervor, Kristofer Hivju as Andvari, Thea Sofie Loch Næss as Thyra, John Noble as Odin, and Peter Stormare as Ulfr.
In addition to co-creating the series, Snyder directed the first and final episodes of Twilight of the Gods. He also serves as an executive producer alongside Deborah Snyder, Wesley Coller, and Olivia.
