The Kings Langley cheerleading team Twisted Cheer and Dance “can’t wait” to compete in the world championships.
A Kings Langley cheerleading team is “really excited” to fly out to the US for the world championships.
Twisted Cheer and Dance, based in Rucklers Lane, will leave for Florida on Friday, April 26, ahead of the The Summit 2024 Championship in Orlando from May 2 to 5. The club’s 23-member Nemesis team will compete in the under-18 level two division at the global event after it won a place at a competition in Sweden last May.Program director Ben Vasey-Howe said: “Everyone's really excited but we’ve still got some training left in the UK before we go and then five training sessions out in America as well."“Obviously it would be amazing to win, but we just can’t wait for the experience,” he added. “It is such an achievement to begin with.
“Hitting their routine and competing on that floor is the main aim, and anything else would just be icing on the cake.”The director thanked the club’s sponsors Davey Scaffolding, Costco and Innovation Broking, as well as the fundraising team who have held bake sales and quiz nights to help the club get to the world competition. We want our comments to be a lively and valuable part of our community - a place where readers can debate and engage with the most important local issues.
