Twisted Scots trio tattooed man and penetrated him with glass bottle as he slept

Aaron McLauchlan and cousins Karly and Keiran Donald exploited the vulnerable autistic man during drinking sessions.

Three callous thugs attacked a vulnerable autistic man by tattooing him and penetrating him with a glass bottle as he lay sleeping, a court was told last week.

Prosecutor Graeme Clark told the court the trio befriended the vulnerable man following the death of his mother and began attending drinking sessions together in houses in Midlothian. Mr Clark said the first incident saw the victim drinking alcohol with McLauchlan and several others at a property in Gorebridge on November 7, 2021.

Mr Clark said: "At some point during the night Karly Donald and Keiran Donald pulled down [the man's] trousers while he was lying sleeping face down on a sofa." He carried on to say Karly Donald assisted Keiran Donald who inserted the bottle into the man's body. Sheriff Kenneth Campbell KC said: "I will certainly require background reports before passing sentence in this case and I will continue this matter. Bail will be continued and you must understand all sentencing options will be before the court."
