Two men have been arrested following a reported serious assault in Glasgow's city centre. Police responded to a disturbance on Jamaica Street at around 3am on Wednesday, January 8, but found no trace of anyone involved at the time. Detectives are continuing to investigate the incident and are seeking to identify two further men believed to have been involved.
Two people have been arrested following an alleged early-hours serious assault at the Four Corners in Glasgow .
Police were called to a disturbance on the city centre's Jamaica Street at around 3am on Wednesday, January 8. Officers attended but there was no trace of anyone involved. The area was shut down on Wednesday morning as the street was taped off by cops. Detectives have since confirmed that two men, both aged 30, have been arrested in connection.
Inquiries remain ongoing to identify and trace two further men believed to be involved in the incident. Images from the scene show a large cordon in place with multiple police officers in attendance. Sergeant David McIntosh said: “We’d like to thank the public for their patience and understanding as officers carried out their work in the area.
