Two men have been arrested in connection to a shooting on April 6 that left both suspects injured in Salt Lake City.

Officials announced Wednesday that 24-year-old Luis Alfaro and 23-year-old Christian Miramontes had been arrested at the end of May by the Salt Lake City Police Department's Metro Gang Unit.Police said the investigation started early April 6 when a call reported to dispatchers that a person had a gunshot wound near 1050 West 300 South.
Detectives believed Alfaro and Miramontes had gotten into a fight that led to them shooting each other, police said.Alfaro was booked on charges of unlawful possession of a dangerous weapon, two counts of felony discharge of a gun, obstruction of justice and aggravated assault, police said. Miramontes was booked on charges of felony discharge of a gun, aggravated assault and possession of a stolen gun, police said.
