Police in Northern Ireland have apprehended two suspects following multiple armed robberies that occurred across Mid Ulster on Thursday. The robberies targeted three commercial businesses, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Two men have been arrested following a series of armed robberies that targeted commercial premises in the Mid Ulster area on Thursday. Police revealed that the robberies occurred at three distinct locations in the Ballyronan, Coagh, and Clonoe areas. During each incident, two masked men threatened staff and demanded a cash surrender. In connection with the investigation, authorities discovered a blue Audi A6, suspected to be the getaway vehicle, stolen from a residence in Portadown.

This vehicle was later found ablaze at the Drumcree Community Centre. Police in Mid Ulster conducted a number of searches at properties in the Churchill Park area of Portadown on Thursday evening. These searches resulted in the arrests of two men, one in his 30s and the other in his 50s, on suspicion of various offenses related to the robberies. Additionally, an electronic device was confiscated for forensic analysis. Both individuals are currently in police custody, awaiting questioning. The police issued an appeal to the public, urging anyone with information or relevant footage captured by CCTV, doorbell cameras, or dashcams to come forward.
