Two people have been charged with child cruelty offences following an incident in which a 14-year-old boy was allegedly found behind the wheel of a Land Rover which failed to stop for officers.
in relation to the incident on Sunday 29 January. The 14-year-old was arrested but later released on police bail.In a post on the Police Mid Ulster Facebook page, the PSNI said the driver of the Land Rover Discovery failed to stop and tried to make off, before later mounting a kerb . "After questioning the manner of driving they have tried to pull it over. On activating the blue lights the driver has failed to stop and tried to make off. The vehicle has entered the Newell Road before mounting a kerb and stopping.
