TWO coastguard helicopters were scrambled to a popular beach amid reports a father and two sons might have got into difficulty.
The rescue helicopters were spotted circling around the beach, while an RNLI lifeboat was also scrambled to the scene.A spokesman for North Wales Police said: "We are currently assisting HM Coastguard with an incident on Barmouth Beach.Bank hols chaos with train cancellations & HUGE queues as 3m drivers hit the road
Well-wishers have taken to social media, with one posting on Facebook that they hope the search around Barmouth Beath "has a happy ending".A HM Coastguard spokesman told The Sun: "HM Coastguard coordinated the response to a report of concern for a person in the water at Barmouth beach.Moment Brit is kicked in head by Thai bouncer leaving him 'fighting for life’
"The alarm was raised at about 5.50pm on 27 May. Two HM Coastguard search and rescue helicopters were sent as well as Coastguard Rescue Teams from Barmouth, Aberdovey and Aberystwyth. The RNLI’s all-weather and inshore lifeboats from Barmouth were also sent.More to follow...
