A boat capsizing near Point Connor, South Australia, resulted in the deaths of two men and the hospitalization of a woman. The incident occurred on a beach south of Beachport, with emergency services responding to reports of three unresponsive individuals.
Two men have died and a woman has been taken to hospital after being found unresponsive on a beach in the state's south-east, SA Police say. Police said emergency services were called to a beach near Point Connor, just south of Beachport , about 11:30am after reports a boat had capsized and three people were unresponsive on shore. A 59-year-old woman was taken to hospital, while two men, aged 82 and 69, were pronounced dead at the scene.
All three people were from Millicent, a town which is located about 30 kilometres south and inland from Beachport. Police said there were no suspicious circumstances, but its water operations team was helping the ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.In a separate incident, emergency services are searching for a person believed missing in waters off Henley Beach
