A man and a woman have been shot dead and more than two dozen injured by what authorities believe to be two suspected gunmen who opened fire on a neighbourhood party in the United States.

Baltimore Police suspect at least two"cowardly" gunmen opened fire on a crowded block party in the city's south early on Sunday about 12:30am .

Baltimore's Acting Police Commissioner Richard Worley said the victims were aged between 13 to 32, with 14 of them understood to be under 18-years-old. Video shared to social media showed a large police presence, including ambulances who rushed the injured to surrounding hospitals.The suspected gunmen remain on the run, with police urging members of the public who have any information to come forward. "I want those responsible to hear me, hear me very clearly - we will not stop until we find you, and we will find you."
