Elaine C Smith paid a visit to Janey Godley in hospice with a bunch of gifts, including beautiful flowers and a candle, which put a smile on the 63-year-olds face as she undergoes palliative care.
Janey Godley has shared heartwarming pictures on social media following a visit from a Two Doors Down icon.
Elaine C Smith visited the hospice where Janey, 63, is undergoing end of life treatment following a battle with cancer. The Baillieston-born actress and 'queen of comedy' gifted her pal a bouquet of flowers and gifts including a candle with the text "you are beautiful inside and out" written on it. The visit from 66-year-old Elaine - known for her role as Christine O'Neil in the hit BBC sitcom - put a smile on Janey's face. Pictures posted on X show the Glasgow comedian in good spirits as she posed with her legendary visitor, gifts and a beaming smile.READ MORE: CCTV released after Glasgow assault as police appeal to find man to 'help with enquiries'Fans were quick to comment on the union of "two icons".
Another wrote: "How delightful to see "youse twos" together. Hope you enjoyed the visit, with lots of humorous laughter and chat. Have a good day, dear Janey." While a third added: "Two legends in one picture." Janey recently stepped away from comedy as she shared the sad news that she is having palliative care and would go into a hospice after "the chemo ran out of options" with the cancer now spreading. Since then, her family, friends and fans have flooded the star with support - including Sir Billy Connolly whose "offensive" humour and "disgusting swearing" during a phone call put a smile on her face.
