Two firefighters have been rushed to hospital after being seriously injured while battling a blaze south of Brisbane.

Police have declared a crime scene after the firefighters were injured while responding to reports of a fire at a service road business at Slacks Creek in Logan about 2.30am on Tuesday morning. “During the efforts to bring this blaze under control, two firefighters were injured,” Queensland Ambulance medical director Stephen Rashford said.Two female firefighters were rushed to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, one in a critical condition and the other with serious injuries.

Multiple paramedics crews responded to the incident, and a third person, a man with minor injuries, was also transported.Traffic on the Pacific Motorway has been affected and police said Moss Street and Judds Court were closed due to the fire.
