Two women have been taken to hospital after a shop sign collapsed in Co Antrim

The incident, which happened in the Fairhill Lane are of Ballymena occurred shortly after 5pm on Wednesday evening.

The PSNI are working with Mid and East Antrim Borough Council and the Northern Ireland Health and Safety Executive to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.A PSNI spokesperson said: "Police are liaising with the Health and Safety Executive Northern Ireland and Environmental Health at Mid and East Antrim Borough Council to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collapse of signage in the Fairhill Lane area of Ballymena just after 5.05pm today, Wednesday 5th April.
