Man Utd are preparing to face Bayern Munich on their return to the Champions League and the squad have trained at Carrington.
Raphael Varane and Mason Mount have both returned to Manchester United training ahead of their Champions League opener against Bayern Munich.
The French defender has missed United’s last two matches through injury but looks set to return for their match in Germany this midweek. Mount was also spotted back in training after a recent injury that saw him miss the last three matches. Varane’s return to training is a big boost for United at a time when they are faced with an ongoing injury crisis that sees almost an entire line up of players sidelined through injury. Aaron Wan-Bissaka was the latest player to be ruled out for a number of weeks after suffering a hamstring injury following the weekend defeat to Brighton.
Sofyan Amrabat is yet to make his debut for the club and is unlikely to feature against Bayern, howeve after he was spotted undergoing an individual training session away from the main group. Fellow midfielder Kobbie Mainoo, 18, was also spotted doing solo fitness work with a coach away from the rest of the first-team group.
The travelling squad is expected to be named on Tuesday afternoon ahead of manager Erik ten Hag and a player speaking in front of the media in their press conference in Munich.
