Two men are due in court later following a suspected drugs seizure in Belfast worth an estimated £165,000.
A 36-year-old man has been charged with possession of class B drugs, possession of class B drugs with intent to supply and possessing criminal property. The charges follow the search of a vehicle in the Belfast area on Friday, 10 th February which uncovered a quantity of suspected class B drugs with an estimated street value of £165,000.A 46-year-old man arrested at the scene of the search has been released on bail to allow for further enquiries.
Police say as a result of follow-up in investigations linked to this search they have arrested and charged another man. A spokesperson said: "As a result of our ongoing investigation following this search, a 45-year-old man was also arrested and has since been charged with possession of class B drugs, possession of class B drugs with intent to supply and possessing criminal property."As is normal procedure, the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service."For all the latest news, visit the Belfast Live homepage here.
