Two pilots have miraculously walked away from a large air tanker crash in the Fitzgerald River National Park in Western Australia while battling a bushfire.

The two pilots onboard the Boeing 737 Airliner only suffered minor injuries when the plane crashed about 4.15pm on Monday afternoon.

The airliner, currently based in WA, left Busselton Margaret River Airport about 3.30pm to go battle the blaze, the Department of Fire and Emergency Services said in a statement.
