Liverpool residents Dan Bird and Minah Shannon are among the 25 contestants vying for a £120,000 prize on the BBC's returning reality show 'The Traitors'.
The Traitors has returned for a third series on the BBC and two of the contestants taking part are Scousers. Dan Bird , a bank risk manager from Liverpool and Minah Shannon , a call centre manager from Liverpool , are among the 25 contestants involved. The BBC series, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, sees a group of strangers stay at a castle in the Scottish Highlands to play a game which will test their detection, backstabbing and trust – with the chance of winning up to £120,000.
A group of 'traitors' must secretly murder their fellow players without getting caught, while the 'faithful' attempt to banish the traitors from the game. Those left at the end have a chance of winning a chunk of the prize, but if a traitor survives until the end they can take the full prize. In the opening episode, 29-year-old Minah confidently noted her aptitude in understanding people, sharing: 'I'm very rarely wrong about people because I take time to just watch people out the window.' Minah, who was chosen to be a traitor, said: 'It's the role I was born to play. Anything you want me to do I would do it. Even if it was to send somebody home.' She added that the reason she wanted to take part in the show was to teach her two-year-old daughter there is 'nothing you can't do if you put your mind to something.' Dan, 33, was destined to remain a faithful. He shared his perspective, saying: 'My autism means that I'm not too bothered about conforming too much, or about making people feel good.' He added he would use his 'Scouse charm' to play the game. He said: 'I think I could have two different faces of my personality, the face that's among everybody else is the charming smiley Scouse, not really thinking about the game too much, maybe gets a little bit erratic at times.
