Two swans have died of suspected avian bird flu at a Glasgow park as the council warns the public to stay vigilant.

Advice notices have been placed around the park warning people to stay away from birds and keep dogs on a leash.A spokesperson for the council said: “We are very concerned that two swans at Knightswood Park pond have probably died from avian flu. “The public also has an important role in helping to prevent the transfer of the virus and they should follow the advice that will be displayed around the park.
