Last year, State Farm dropped 72K policies in California including 1,600 policies in the Pacific Palisades and 2K policies in two other LA County zip codes that included the Brentwood, Calabasas, Hidden Hills, and Monte Nido neighborhoods. Last year, 1,400 of the Palisades' 9K homeowners reportedly opted to sign up for the California Fair Access to Insurance Requirements Plan , which provides basic fire insurance coverage for properties in high-risk areas.
