James Cook uses the characters of a typewriter to create likenesses of Tom Hanks and Bill Murray.
Portraits of actors Bill Murray and Tom Hanks created on a typewriter are part of an artist's first exhibition.
The 23-year-old, from Braintree, Essex, is exhibiting his art, and accompanying typewriters, at Thaxted Guildhall. About 30 typewriters, some of which he has found, others he has been given, are on display along with artworks he has produced on the machines. The subject matter of his pictures ranges from local landmarks to portraits of people, including stars of TV and film.
