Tyrese Maxey will take Justin Edwards 'under his wing' with the Sixers

APVeteran guard Tyrese Maxey will mentor undrafted free agent Justin Edwards after the Sixers signed the Philadelphia native to a Two-Way contract following this week’s NBA Draft.
Asked what Edwards’s natural position is, Ellison responded, “What is Paul George? What is Kawhi Leonard? What is Kevin Durant? He falls into that category.”and the Boston Celtics in the Atlantic Division, drafted Duke guard Jared McCain at No. 16 and UCLA center Adem Bona at No. 41. They also signed former Memphis, St. John’s and DePaul wing David Jones to a Two-Way Contract.
A two-year starter for the Bruins, Bona averaged 10.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.7 blocks in 66 games at UCLA. He twice secured Pac-12 All-Defensive Team honors and was honored as the 2024 Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year. In addition, Bona was one of 10 student-athletes to secure first-team All-Pac-12 honors during his sophomore season .
