Dustin Poirier hinted about retirement after his loss to Islam Makhachev at UFC 302, but now the longtime MMA fighter has made a decision about his future.
Dustin Poirier shocked the MMA and UFC world when he took on rising star Benoît Saint Denis. Saint Denis had been on a five-fight win streak in the welterweight division and was poised for a title shot. Though many believed Poirier would be defeated at UFC 299 on March 9, he rose to the occasion and beat Saint Denis by KO/TKO, propelling himself back into title shot contention.
'Though it would be understandable that Poirier would step away from MMA, he has now made a big decision on his fighting future. Poirier took to X to announce that he will fight one last time. According to two posts from the famed UFC fighter, he stated, 'The Last Dance. Let em know,' and 'Uno mas.'Poirier plans to fight one more time, and now it will be up to the UFC to pit him against a great opponent for his last fight.
