One of UFC’s best fighters might not be calling it a career just yet.

On X, Poirier insinuated that he could fight recently suspended lightweight Arman Tsarukyan or have a rematch vs. Makhachev, the No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter who Poirier battled well for nearly five rounds.Given his limited remaining time, Poirier’s best shot at the elusive lightweight title would indeed be fighting Makhachev again, which would mark the reigning champion’s first rematch since he fought Alexander Volkanovski twice in 2023.
