Jamarra Ugle-Hagan's availability for the upcoming AFL season is in doubt as the Western Bulldogs star forward continues to be absent from pre-season training. Concerns are growing within the club about Ugle-Hagan's wellbeing and his commitment to the team.

There is growing uncertainty surrounding whether Western Bulldogs star forward Jamarra Ugle-Hagan will be ready for the start of the AFL season. Ugle-Hagan has been absent from pre-season training sessions, prompting speculation about his availability for round one. SEN’s Sam Edmund described the situation as “complex”, emphasizing that both Ugle-Hagan and the Bulldogs are dealing with wellbeing concerns affecting the star forward.

\Edmund stated on SEN Breakfast, “There is uncertainty at the Western Bulldogs over the immediate playing future of Jamarra Ugle-Hagan.” He pointed out that this is not the first time the club has faced challenges with Ugle-Hagan, noting that they successfully navigated similar issues during the previous season. However, Edmund highlighted that these recent challenges are proving increasingly difficult for some within the team to comprehend. \Former Port Adelaide player Kane Cornes expressed concern over Ugle-Hagan’s training absence and potential impact on team cohesion. He stated, “There has to be concern, if there’s concern over his immediate playing future, if he’s rarely training, if he’s no certainty to attend a pre-season camp. When it is a team sport, you want to feel like everyone is pulling their weight.” Cornes further pointed out that if teammates are starting to feel frustrated or have questions about Ugle-Hagan’s commitment, it becomes a significant issue. While it is believed Ugle-Hagan is maintaining his fitness through personal sessions outside the club, his participation in the upcoming pre-season camp in Queensland remains uncertain. Ugle-Hagan’s availability for the Indigenous All Stars match on February 15 is also unclear. \Ugle-Hagan has consistently progressed throughout his AFL career, achieving a career-high 43 goals last season. The Bulldogs are anticipated to provide an update on Ugle-Hagan’s complex personal situation and his immediate playing future in the coming days
