May 2023 is a busy month for bank holidays with three in the space of five weeks. Millions of Brits will enjoy three three-day weekends, with an extra one granted on May 8 because of the King's Coronation two days prior.
After that, there will be a lengthy wait for the next bank holiday with August 28 pencilled in as the summer bank holiday. There are then just two more bank holidays in 2023 - December 25 for Christmas Day and December 26 as Boxing Day, with these dates falling on a Monday and Tuesday this year. That may be all for 2023 but the UK government has already decided on bank holiday dates for 2024 and 2025 so you can plan much further in advance if you want to. In 2024 and 2025, there will be eight bank holidays each.
