UK coronavirus death toll rises by one with more than 1,700 new cases confirmed

The figures were released by the Department of Health this afternoon, hours after health authorities confirmed there had been three more fatalities in hospitals in England

Data released this afternoon by the Department of Health revealed that 1,715 new cases have been confirmed in the past 24 hours.Earlier today health authorities confirmed a further three hospital deaths, bringing the number of coronavirus patients to die in hospitals to 34,199.
