Brits travelling to France this summer have been warned of travel disruption by the UK Foreign Office due to “planned industrial action”. Holidaymakers have been told their ferry routes or flights could be “diverted or cancelled” in June.
Travellers are urged to check with their tour operator before embarking on their journey, especially when connecting flights are involved. The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office said: “Throughout June, planned industrial action by port worker and air traffic control unions is expected to disrupt some ferry routes and flights across France, with some routes and flights diverted or cancelled.

“We expect there will be disruption and delays as a result of the industrial action, so we advise all customers to continue to check the status of their flight on Flight Tracker before travelling to the airport. Although this is outside of our control, we wish to reassure you that we are doing all we can to minimise any disruption to our flights that may occur as a result of the strike action.”
The industrial action comes ahead of Paris hosting the Olympic Games this summer. The games will take place from July 26 to August 11, The Paralympics will take place from August 28 to September 8.
