UK Government still considering whether to block Holyrood legislation on gender recognition reforms
The UK Government has yet to make a decision on whether it will block controversial gender recognition reforms passed by MSPs last month.
The subject could be one of the topics raised when Nicola Sturgeon meets with Rishi Sunak on Thursday evening. The spokesman declined to "pre-empt" Sunak’s discussions with the First Minister when asked whether the topic would come up, and said there are “no plans to follow suit” in England.
