The cost to apply for a new passport is set to rise on April 11
UK holidaymakers who have trips planned to Spain and Turkey have been warned about an upcoming deadline in April.
These prices include passport renewals. The government said the price hikes will 'help ensure that income from these applications better meets the cost of delivering passport and associated operations' and reduce reliance on funding from taxes, reports Birmingham Live. For example, if you're off to Spain, you need to have at least three months left on your passport when you're due to leave. If you're heading to Turkey, your passport needs to have at least 150 days, or five months, left until it expires from the date you arrive.
