Britain's Home Secretary Suella Braverman has launched an incredible attack on the world's legal system which governs migration during a speech in Washington. She says being gay or a woman or at threat of discrimination is insufficient to qualify and claim asylum. Ms Braverman also expressed her concern illegal migration posed an existential threat to the Western world. A pro-migration position has been “totally refuted” by the Home Secretary as “being at odds” with the current challenge of unprecedented numbers of migrants. Uma and Christie Fernandes, Ms Braverman’s mother and father, migrated to Britain from Mauritius and Kenya in the 1960s.
