A drug smuggling gang has been jailed for attempting to smuggle cocaine, with an estimated street value of about £200m, hidden in a cargo of bananas from Colombia. The shipment was intercepted at Portsmouth Port in February 2021, marking one of the largest drug seizures in UK history.

He received the shipment at the firm's Edmonton warehouse, not knowing that the cocaine had been removed and replaced with bananas and listening devices, police said. Diko and Kuci pleaded guilty to the charges, but Zhutev was cleared of the firearm and ammunition offences after a trial in 2023.
