In a bid to help keep costs low, households have been switching to discounted supermarkets for their weekly groceries.
Aldi has beaten its rivals and maintained its crown as the UK's cheapest supermarket for the 14th month.
The budget-friendly supermarket was awarded the title inthe latest Which? monthly price comparison, where it was found to be over £16 cheaper than the most expensive rival. It comes as inflation has forced the cost of UK groceries continues to soar to record highs, with staples being affected the most.
The latest research shows that in July Aldi was a huge £16.02 cheaper than the most expensive supermarket, Waitrose, for an equivalent basket of items.Which? also revealed Aldi to be £8.37 cheaper than Tesco and £10.78 cheaper than Morrisons per basket.
