‘Increased likelihood’ deadly coronavirus will come to UK but NHS is prepared, Health Secretary says
THE RISK of the deadly coronavirus hitting the UK is on the RISE after sweeping through Asia, the Government said today.

But he said there were no confirmed cases of the infection in the UK so far, but officials were "closely monitoring" the situation in China. He said the government had already put in precautionary measures to deal with the virus if it does reach the UK. The risk of the virus spreading to the UK has been raised from "very low" to "low", but there has been anMr Hancock said the NHS was ready to respond to any cases of coronavirus, which has spread to hundreds of patients across six countries in the past few weeks.
