Travellers heading to Gatwick and Heathrow Airports are being advised to set off early
Holidaymakers travelling to or from London 's two busiest airports have been issued a warning ahead of the weekend.
The RAC is advising people affected by the closure to set off earlier than planned to minimise disruption to their journey. A diversion will be in place along A-roads. "While anyone attending a festival in the city centre is likely to have an easier journey by train and Tube, there are of course trips, such as going to the airport, where it’s far easier to travel by car, especially if you’re loaded with luggage.
