Yolanda Diaz, Spain's Minister of Employment and Social Economy, has proposed new regulations that may require bars and restaurants in the country to close early
UK holidaymakers heading to Spain might have to change their plans for nights out as new rules could change when restaurants and bars close.
Speaking to Spanish congress this week, Ms Diaz said: "A country that has its restaurants open at one in the morning is not reasonable. It is crazy to try to continue extending hours until I don't know what time."Isabel Diaz Ayuso, who leads Madrid, doesn't agree. She said: "Spain has the best nightlife in the world, with streets full of life and freedom.
Jose Luis Yzuel, who looks after Spain's restaurants and bars, also thinks this is a bad idea. The new plan is meant to help workers finish earlier, reports BirminghamLive.
