Brits to bask in 27C sun this weekend in late summer sizzler
Soaring temperatures towards the end of this week will be a welcome break for Brits as before Thursday, temperatures are set to hover below 20C for much of the country.A Met forecaster said: "The bigger picture shows this intense heatwave across southern parts of Europe."Meanwhile across the UK it is a lot more changeable and cooler.
"This run of north westerly winds continuing this week and some wet weather fronts bring showers or rain at times but settled conditions possible later in the week."It comes after meteorologists said Brits are set to enjoy a late summer heatwave with a "warmer, drier, and sunnier end of meteorological summer."
The hot weather is making its way from Spain where record-breaking temperatures above 40C over the coming days, as temperatures soared across Europe. Netweather also echoed the predictions with their long-range forecast, adding that there was a "strong signal for above-average pressure during this period".Meteorologists said high pressure "would cover much of the country", seeing "spells of quiet, dry and probably sunny weather."Britd are set to enjoy a late summer heatwave
