Forecasters predict unsettled and colder weather for the coming week, with rain, wind, and frost. A cold front moving across the Atlantic may bring significantly colder conditions to the UK later in February.
The Met Office has said that tonight will see light rain over the western hills where it will be murky and foggy, but it will be a dry night for most. It is expected to be chilly with a frost and patchy fog forming beneath clear skies, mainly in the southeast. Whereas in the northwest is looking to become wet and windy.
From Tuesday it's looking to be windy and mild, with heavy rain in places. It will likely be dry on Wednesday and Thursday with some sunny spells. It is then predicted to turn colder, with overnight frosts. For February 6 to February 15, the Met Office states: "It is likely to be rather more settled across the UK in this period, especially at first. High pressure will sit close to, or over the UK, and will most likely drift away slowly eastwards with time. Consequently, southern and eastern areas are likely to see the driest conditions, with lightest winds, which could lead to overnight frost and fog with temperatures a little below normal.
