FORECASTERS have warned the UK will be battered with strong winds reaching 80mph in areas, as the Met Office issued amber and yellow wind warnings for parts of the country.
has issued amber and yellow weather warnings for Storm Malik as it deals a “glancing blow” to the country and tracks across northern areas this weekend and into Monday, bringing with it rain as well as strong gales. An amber warning has been issued for eastern Scotland, where damaging gusts of wind will likely disrupt road, rail, air and ferry services.Power supplies and mobile phone coverage could also be affected.
