Ukraine's foreign minister is expected to visit the Philippines within this year. ManilaBulletin
Denys Mykhailiuk, Chargé d'Affaires of the Ukrainian Embassy in Malaysia that has jurisdiction over the Philippines, said that Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba is thinking about flying to the country.
He made the announcement on Wednesday as he visited Manila for a four-day set of meetings, which included Ukraine's bilateral trade proposals, with various Philippine government officials. As Ukraine is already planning to establish its embassy in Manila should Kiev's budget allow, Mykhailiuk said they also hope to coincide Kuleba's visit with the embassy's opening.
"If the budget will allow, he might open the embassy here. If the budget restrictions will remain, it will be the preliminary job to come to find out from us, and maybe he will present the non-resident ambassador to the Philippines," he told reporters in a press conference.
