What appears to be the biggest coordinated drone attack since the start of the war has targeted six regions in Russia - with military transport planes damaged. And in Ukraine, two people have been killed in Kyiv after a 'massive combined attack' by drones and missiles.

Ukraine has said its air defences shot down all 28 missiles and 15 out of 16 drones Russia launched overnight.

In its latest update on the war, the defence ministry said the refusal to fight"likely reflects the lack of training, motivation and high stress situations Russian forces face along the entire Ukrainian frontline". The MoD said Russia is mitigating the loss by"committing a mass of poorly trained soldiers to the frontline".
