A peace garden which was created to give Ukrainian refugees comfort has been badly damaged in an “appalling” vandalism, police have said.
The garden was created as part of the city's hosting of Eurovision on Ukraine’s behalf in May and featured plants native to the war-torn country. Before its unveiling, the garden's designer Peter Lloyd said he hoped it would “bring a little piece of Ukraine to Liverpool for all to appreciate".
