In one video, a Ukrainian pilot is seen hanging out of the plane's back window, apparently firing at a machinegun at a Russian dronemedia sources came in response to dramatic footage of a Ukrainian pilot flying a Second World War-style plane. In the video released from a Russian reconnaissance drone, a second pilot is seen hanging out of the plane’s back window, firing what appears to be a machinegun at the drone in June.
Crazy Footage from earlier today showing a Yak-52 Trainer Aircraft, previously with the Soviet Air Force, being equipped with a Mount-Machine Gun and then used to Shoot Down a Russian “Orlan-10” Surveillance Drone over the Odesa Region of Southern Ukraine.Justin Crump, a military veteran and chief executive of security and intelligence group Sibylline, said: “The use of a Yak-52 is certainly innovative. It’s a uniquely suitable aircraft for shooting down Russian reconnaissance drones.
“This has changed significantly in the last year and a half, as both Ukrainian-made systems and Ukrainian modifications of other common commercial drones have become more prolific.”
