Yulia Lemeshchenko, a 41-year-old Ukrainian powerlifting champion, was allegedly recruited by Ukrainian security services and deployed to Russia with the aim of assassinating a high-ranking defense official. The FSB security service detained Lemeshchenko in mid-January along with three other women accused of similar missions. Lemeshchenko confessed to training in Kyiv and receiving instructions to carry out a terrorist act against a Russian military leader.

A Ukrainian female powerlifting champion was allegedly deployed inside Russia with killing the goal of assassinating a top defence official has been caught, according to reports.
