Oscars 2024 Preparations underway with huge red carpet in LA
HOLLYWOOD is at a standstill, the golden statuettes are polished and A-listers are squeezing into their designer frocks – it could only be the Oscars.
A total of 9,375 members voted in each category – up more than a third in a decade – and hopefuls have pulled out the stops to win support.Data from TV and streaming ad measurement firm iSpot has revealed an estimated £20million was spent on adverts in the US for the film – the most out of the ten flicks nominated for Best Picture.
And for those who aren’t able to blag their way in, there’s often a good chance of spotting a celeb or two atCELEBRITIES would have started planning for the Oscars months ago – many before Christmas – before stepping up preparations in the past two weeks. But 300 seat-fillers have also been hired to take their places if they nip to the bar or loo mid-ceremony – though they are banned from talking to other guests.IT takes more than a week to construct the glitzy event’s mammoth red carpet, which stretches for 150 metres over an entire block on Hollywood Avenue.But after deciding it got too grubby, too quickly – especially as it was chucking it down – they have reverted to tradition.
