Pernod Ricard, the world’s second-largest wine and spirits producer with a storied history dating back 200-plus years, is back at the negotiating table.
Sources said Accolade, flanked by its new owner Bain Capital and advisers at MA Moelis, was deep in talks with Pernod’s board and major shareholder, the Ricard family. While there was no certainty that a transaction would materialise, sources told this column that if discussions remained on track, a deal would likely be signed by the end of May.Of note, Accolade has not secured exclusivity.
