The Whites are still in the promotion picture but have won just four games in the second tier this season
It's been a fairly strange start to the Championship for Leeds United this season after a huge summer overhaul. That's to be expected given the amount of players who departed Elland Road earlier this summer, with eight new faces coming through the door.
Leeds face the Blades when they return from the current international break, with Chris Wilder's side the only unbeaten team in the EFL this season. It's yet another test of the Whites' promotion credentials and a result against Sheffield United would be an early psychological boost for Farke's side.
Despite his howler against the Black Cats, Illan Meslier has kept the second most clean sheets in the division with five to his name, behind Blades' shot stopper Michael Cooper who has six. The Whites have conceded just seven goals so far this season, with an average goal against of 0.8 - the sixth best in the division.
However, the Whites have the best average possession in the division with 59.8 per cent per game, the most average shots on target per game at 5.2, the second highest big chances created at 27, but also the second highest amount of big chances missed - which can be used to back up the previous argument. Farke's men boast the most average passes per game, with 472.9 completed, with 257 touches in the opposition's box so far - the second highest in the Championship.
Much of the statistics suggest that Leeds are indeed on the right track, with some degree of misfortune, but there's also a degree of underperformance. Farke's men are on track to finish in the Championship's top-six, but will want to improve in certain areas and nail down a spot in the top-two.
